Committees of the York County Democratic Party
The Goal of the formation of these committees is to be as inclusive as possible in welcoming the ideas and energy of all York County Democrats in the formulation and implementation of policies for the York County Democratic Party.
Membership of the Committees – Any active York County Democrat may join any of these committees. Each committee will have representation on the Executive Committee and will be expected to report regularly on their plans to the Executive Committee.
Charge of the Committees:
Finances/Budget – Charged to work with the Treasurer to monitor the expenditure of funds from the YCDP treasury, approve major expenditures, plan and recommend the budget for the 2009-2010 year to the Executive Committee. Charge of the Committees:

Fund Raising – Charged to raise money to support the ongoing activities of the York County Democratic Party. This committee also works with the Finances/Budget committee to set goals for fund raising. This committee is already forming and is convened by Cherie Mabrey.
Mailings – Charged to work with the Secretary to plan, edit and prepare mailings for the York County Democratic Party and to monitor the use of the bulk mailing permit. This committee works with the Communications/Database committee to prepare mailing labels and with the Finances/Budget committee to request funds for stationery, envelopes, stamps and bulk mailing charges.
Communications/Database – Charged to maintain the YCDP database, keep statistics to measure effectiveness of our strategic initiatives, operate the phone tree and monitor the use of Vote Builder database. Plan the purchase of computer equipment, printers, etc. as needed.
Membership/Volunteers – Charged to recruit and identify new members and to help them to become active in party work. This committee plans training for YCDP members. It also works with the Communications/Database committee to collect accurate names, addresses and emails for all active party members.
Regional Representatives – Consisting of party members who establish active groups within their community (i.e. Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and York). These groups are asked to select a representative to give their input on party business to the executive committee.
